These tacos are BOMB. There's so much competition in the taco dept out in Austin but this food truck leads the pack. The carnitas are crazy good. Costra tacos are fire. Service is quick and seating area is shaded to keep you out the sun. There's other trucks in this park but don't get distracted go straight to this truck and thank me later lol
Nut allergy friendly - I don't think I even asked. Located in a food truck park, parking at Cuantos is a bit difficult with a small dirt lot and then some street parking. There are a good number of picnic tables with tree shade and some port-a-potty restrooms for use. Food was ready extremely quickly (less than 10 minutes from order at the window). We decided to try two each of the: Campechana Taco (4/5): The brisket and chorizo have an interesting offset of saltiness and dryness. Revuelta Taco (5/5): Wow, this might be the single best street taco I've had in Austin. Perfectly tender all around and super flavorful. Al Pastor Taco (4/5): Nothing too crazy here, it's good and seasoned better than other Al Pastor tacos I've had but a little dry. Overall, a great stop on the Austin street taco tour.
Overall: If it's Taco Tuesday, heck if it's any day, RUN to Cuantos Tacos. I hear are my favorite tacos I've had since being in Austin. They're the perfect size and the meat is well seasoned and juicy. Service was quick for a lunch time run too! Overall Rating: 10/10 What I Got + Ratings: PSA I can't remember the Spanish names - 2 pork: 10/10 - 2 beef: 10/10 I did a more in-depth interview @itslegacylee on Instagram!
Food was too good my husband and I had to double back for more!! Found out their specials on Wednesdays are lengua (beef tounge)!! Good customer service Food comes out fast Good energy
Often debated to be the #1 best taco in the city, these are small street tacos that you would find in Mexico City. The 100% nixtamalized corn tortillas are from Colonial Tortilla Factory in San Antonio. They're simple, juicy, and devoured in 2-3 bites each! My favorite is the suadero taco (brisket, onion & cilantro) but given they're tiny and $2.50 a pop, it only makes sense that you try them all. The taco truck is located in Arbor Food Truck Park in east Austin. They have a speaker playing music and the park has string lights and other great food truck options.
Yum!! This place is absolutely worth stopping by. These are just great tacos. I love coming to Texas and finding some real authentic tacos. Great selection of meats to pick from and all priced extremely reasonable. I only ate two and had a side of the beans and it was filling to me for lunch. The only thing I wish they had to buy was chips and salsa or some other side options. Spacious outdoor seating area with a few other food trucks to order from as well.
Best tacos in Austin IMO and they use el Milagro corn tortillas! The meat is tender and juicy. If you're feeling adventurous, try their sampler plate so you can try all their different tacos. Don't fret if there's a line because they're usually pretty quick. They have a small parking lot, but if it's full, you can park on the side streets. There's a bunch of other food trucks and seating available for large parties too!
Very authentic tacos!! Loved the Suadero and Carnitas tacos, very flavorful with the green sauce and lime! Lots of seating outdoors, and the line goes by very quickly when waiting. Service is great, very friendly! Highly recommend!
I don't know what was my favorite more. The tortillas were so soft and light but the brisket was very flavorful and the veggies was so fresh. All I needed was $12.50 to come here every single day to have these tacos. They might get tired of seeing my face. I figure if I'm gonna spend some money on eating out this week for lunch. I might as well go get something really good. I have been wanting to come here for quite a while and just hadn't made it stop but I'm so glad that I did versus going to a drive-through spending money and then regretting the calories and intake and all the preservatives that are putting in their food. I can't wait to see y'all next week. OK well let me tell you about the service. The young lady that helped me was really nice and friendly. She was really kind to everyone that was orient consistently. The line was long and they have a very good location. I kind of felt bad for the competitors in the parking lot but I know they probably all support each other. All right, ambience well it was a open park and gray as long as it's not raining. It was quite crowded around 2 PM which was really nice and they were consistently busy.
Just got finished with a light dinner at this BOMB taco truck. Arrived at 7pm on a Friday with a couple of friends. Line was relatively short and moved fast. From the time we ordered until we received our food was less than 10 minutes, and it was well worth the wait. I got 3 tacos (Suadero (Brisket), Cachete (Beef Cheek), and Longaniza (Chorizo)). Suadero taco had cheese (highly recommended)! Of the 3, the brisket was the best. The two salsas included were thick and flavorful... spicy but not overwhelming. The vibe was awesome... chill but still a good energy. Lots of other food trucks, plenty of seating. Looking forward to coming back and trying their other tacos (and per their recommendation, definitely adding cheese to them all next time haha).
